Tidewater Classical Academy

To keep our parents fully involved in their child's education, we use a half-day class, full-day effort approach.  This format provides, we believe, the best aspects of a rigorous classroom setting, with the individual attention of homeschooling.

From 8:30 to 12:45, students are at TCA.  They then return home to review the material under the supervision of their parents.  Late afternoons and evenings are free for family-based activities, sports, or extracurricular enrichment.    

WEB-BASED PARENT SUPPORT

To helps parents stay informed (and students accountable), TCA utilizes RENWEB.  This web-based, online grading program allows for direct parental access (via the Internet) to a child's grades, classroom behavior, and homework assignments.  Parents love it.  Kids...not so much.

NOT FOR EVERYONE

We seek to be flexible to the needs of our parents.  However, our program is not a 'once size fits all'.  Before & after-school care is not available.  And, as a Christian school, at least one parent must be member of a Christian church.
